Last January 19, my second daughter Ching (her nickname) has turned 5 years old. As we greeted her in the morning, she surprisingly ask us if its really her birthday and we answered her “Yes, today is your birthday and you are turning 5 years old.” And she said in an amazing tone “Wow, that was really fast, I never thought its going to be my birthday already today!”
Normally, before her birthday comes, she would often tell us what she wants for her birthday. She was requesting to have a frozen theme party where she would dress up as Elsa (her favorite character and has never changed yet). Then sometimes she would request for a birthday party to be held in Jollibee just how she celebrated her 3rd bithday party.
As long as she gets an idea of how to celebrate her birthday, she’d come right after me and tell me her ideas. I will just listen and acknowledge it.
So when her birthday came, I just asked her two options to choose from on how we are going to celebrate her birthday. The two options I gave her was to eat outside or we could buy pizza from S&R and celebrate at home. She opted to celebrate at home and requested for a cake and asked me to cook macaroni spaghetti for her.
Here are some pictures of my little lady’s simple birthday celebration:
She also wanted to have her “blow the candle moment”. Its funny when the two of them take turns on their birthdays to blow candles and this is just one of those times where her sister Cha wanted to share the blowing the birthday candle moment.
So thankful to God for providing us helpers at home who have been patient with our kids. Its so hard nowadays to find helpers who will look after your family with care and concern especially to your kids.
My birthday girl was happy on her birthday and she found joy from having a cake, pizza from S&R, macaroni spaghetti that I cooked for her.
Though she was not able to celebrate one of the ideas that she wanted to have for her birthday, I thank God for giving us the chance to make her feel special on that day and for her to find joy on a simple birthday celebration.
The most important thing of all is that our family is complete and my Ching appreciated the simple party that we gave her.
I thank God for another year of blessings for my daughter’s life and for more birthday celebrations that we will be celebrating with her.
To God Be The Glory!
