Often we begin our days without a thought of Him. It’s rush, rush, rush. There’s no time! We’re so exhausted! There’s so much to be done!
“I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me.” Jeremiah 2:2
But God remembers the devotion of our youth – the early days when we were first getting to know Him.
What could you do or what do you need to do to recover the sweet intensity of your first love for God?
It is so easy to get caught up with so many things to do for the whole day that awaits to consume most of our time and energy that it makes hard for us to find time with our God.
Most of the time when we are in deep pain, trouble and adversity, that is when we come before God to seek for His help and we spend so much time wrestling with Him about our situation waiting for an answer. We have so much intensity to do this because we are in great need of His help.
It should not be the case though. Even when we are not in a desperate situation, we have to keep our heart full of praises and devotion for all the new blessings that He provides for us every morning until he gives us a new morning. Yes, we must work hard but most importantly is to serve God first more than anything or anyone else.
“Work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion” Romans 12:11.
